On August 14, I am featuring on "High Kill," a fierce EDM and melodic techno single by St. Gallen producer Tripgate.
This one is a departure. My voice usually lives in atmospheric, cinematic altpop territory. But when Tripgate sent me the instrumental, I said yes almost immediately after listening for 10 seconds. Something about it showed a power kind of energy to me, and I instantly visualized what that energy sounded like.
I wrote the vocal melody and lyrics. Tripgate built the instrumentation. Leoš Gerteis recorded my vocals, refined the composition, and mixed and mastered the track at NJP Studios AG in Küsnacht.

"High Kill" is about a long suppressed feminine power reclaiming its space, unapologetically. She no longer asks. She takes it.
This is my first time stepping into techno music. I already had a nice trip into dub-techno ambient genre with 59Perlen. "High Kill" continues that thread, on a bigger, fiercer scale. Love to welcome more projects like these, imagining myself at Tomorrowland one day! How knows what the future holds!

I'll be sharing the story behind this one as it unfolds, in the studio, on the road to St. Gallen, and everywhere in between, through my documentary series, Grand on Youtube.
Women empowerment isn't a theme I add to my music. It's the reason I make it. This song is proof of the pudding.
August 14. I can't wait for you to hear it!
