Zurich, Switzerland – January 24, 2025 - Dutch dream-pop artist Ingeborg, based in Zurich, proudly presents her new album London Tapes—a collection of nine songs recorded with her emotive voice and intimate piano accompaniment. These songs were first performed in this form during her magical November 2024 concert at The Moorings, a venue on the Thames near Tower Bridge. London Tapesweaves together the serenity of winter, the warmth of the holiday season, and the promise of a fresh start for 2025.
A Journey to London
The inspiration for London Tapes began in the snow-covered mountains of Gimmelwald, Switzerland. During a performance at a mountain hotel, Ingeborg’s music deeply moved an audience member who organizes an annual Guy Fawkes Night event in London. This serendipitous encounter led to an invitation to perform at the one-of-a-kind The Moorings on the Thames.
On the evening of the concert, Ingeborg performed a 50-minute set in front of 300 guests on a grand piano, with the iconic Tower Bridge as a backdrop. The festive atmosphere was elevated by a bonfire on the Thames and an impressive fireworks display following her performance.
The Making of London Tapes
The nine tracks for London Tapes were recorded during rehearsals for the concert at NJP STUDIOS in Zurich with Leoš Gerteis. From the outset, the recordings were intended to capture the essence of a one-take live production. This heartfelt session became the foundation for the album, which features new compositions, songs from Ingeborg’s debut EP True North, and covers of Fleetwood Mac and Coldplay.
All tracks are original recordings, untouched by post-production edits, preserving the authenticity of a live performance. They have been mixed in both stereo and Dolby Atmos to deliver the full emotional depth of the live experience.
Ingeborg explains: “London Tapes is music meant to bring light, hope, and warmth to the darker days. It’s a gift for my listeners and for those who may need it most.”

London Tapes will be available on all major streaming platforms from December 18, 2024.
