The Scene is Set: 10,000 Tennis Balls
On November 12th and 13th, the beautiful, sacred space of the Wasserkirche in Zurich will be transformed into an artistic battleground. Bernardo San Rafael: White!!! is a groundbreaking sound, vocal, and dance performance centered around a powerful, unsettling visual: an installation of 10,000 white tennis balls.
This is not passive viewing. This installation serves as a stark metaphor for "white supremacy" systems and other forms of modern privilege—a direct and artistic confrontation with the surreal scenarios where the future is decided by a few figures of extreme wealth and power.
My Role: Movement and Live Voice
I am excited to join this vital conversation as a performing artist, contributing through live singing and movement. My participation is a commitment to the mission of creating challenging, transformative art. We are using our bodies and voices to explore the raw human experience caught within these immense political currents. The contrast between the cold stone of the historic church and the provocative, modern installation promises an unforgettable, visceral experience.
